Education and Degrees
Engineer geologist (2001–2006).
Research Interests
I’m interested in understanding detailed description of joint systems to understand fracturing at the local level and its relation to regional features and with damaged zones.
Current Research
I’m currently involved with a project in Panama Canal, trying to understand the geological evolution of Panama. The project’s team is using paleontological (e.g. palynology, mammals, crabs, paleobotany), structural, petrographical and mapping techniques. In this project, my principal task is the reconstruction of stratigraphical columns and the structural control of the sedimentary sequences. I’m also working with GIS tools applied to this project.
