I am working in the Soil Laboratory with Dr. Ben Turner as a research aide. I analyze the amount of carbon storage in different soils around the world (Carbon Storage Project) by combustion and gas chromatography.
I have a huge interest in parasitology and microbiology. I have a Smithsonian Undergraduate Fellowship. I am detecting the presence of Wolbachia bacteria in the genera Lutzomyia (Diptera: Psychodidae) in Barro Colorado Island (BCI) with Dr. Donald Windsor and Master Anayansi Valderrama.
