A graduate of Pembroke College Cambridge (2004) with a degree in Plant Sciences, I am now a PhD student at the Soil and Water Science Department, University of Florida (http://soils.ifas.ufl.edu/).  As part of the Wetland Biogeochemistry Laboratory (http://wetlands.ifas.ufl.edu/ ) I collaborate with Dr. Ramesh Reddy in utilizing NMR Spectroscopy to investigate Organic Phosphorus Speciation in the soils of fresh water wetlands. In particular, I am interested in how organic phosphorus varies among natural ecosystems with reference to geographical location or wetland type, and the role of external parameters in modifying organic phosphorus species.
